New England Aztec men's teams have a storied history dating back to the creation of the Mass. Aztec indoor team in 2002. In 2005, the Aztecs won the PASL National Championship followed by back-to-back PASL Regional Championships in 2006 and 2007, the same year the club created a U23 reserve team. Following that year, the men opted out of the PASL before moving to the outdoor NPSL in 2008. In 2009, the Aztecs won the NPSL's Atlantic Conference while the U23 men won the EMMSA championship. About the Aztec Men - Continued
In 2010, the men's senior team announced it was taking a hiatus from the NPSL. Instead, the senior team and the U23s both competed in the Twilight Summer League (TSL), the new name for the EMMSA. The Aztecs not only returned to try and defend their crown, the Aztecs fielded a team in the MSSL's New England Champions League in 2010, having earned the spot by virtue of the 2009 EMMSA championship. The senior men's team "did the double" and won both the TSL and NECL championships in 2010, while the 23s had a respectable TSL season, missing the playoffs by just 3 points. We look forward to another exciting championship summer in 2011.
