New England Aztec Youth Teams are among the most competitive in the state and the region. We train as much as possible to help our players and teams develop and improve. For our Junior age teams (U14 and under), teams play in the fall, winter, and spring. They have formal training sessions twice a week and one match a week during each season - we take one month off of training in the winter, although we continue playing in matches. Teams will attend various tournaments during the course of the year as well.
For Premier age (U15 and up), we play in the spring and winter, although starting with 2010-11 we have a new twist to our U18 program. More on that in a second. For U15-U17 teams, they attend a tournament in the fall after their high school season ends, and then we train twice a week and play one game per season in the winter and spring. We will attend various tournaments at this age as well.
As for the U18s, starting in 2010-11, the teams will convene for a fall tournament after the end of their high school seasons. We will then take the winter off and get back together for spring and summer play. The teams will train twice per week and play one game per week during the spring, and then the U18 boys will compete in the TSL in the summer while the U18 girls will compete in the EMWSL. This will help them make sure they are in shape when they head off to college preseason as a freshman.
At all ages, we also offer specialized goalkeeper training sessions during each season.
